Ear-splitting voice screaming on top of his lungs while singing on a background music so low you can hardly hear it, woke me up today at 11:00 am….just 3 hours after I closed my eyes. I was excited to sleep because there’s a typhoon signal number 1 here and that would mean that i just need to open my window and have cool air circulating around my rented room without having to turn on the electric fan…my land lady’s kids wont be home today because they already have their packed lunch before leaving for school…and that means no kids noisily running all over the house by noon.

So by 6:00 am I ate my dinner,while wathing 2 morning shows on tv, then took a bath,slathered lotion all over my skin and prepped for bed….looking forward to a restful sleep.as the rains keeps on puring outside.

Then by 11:00 all hell broke lose! the son-in-law of the landlady which lives a floor below me. He was squaling his lungs out singing something that no lyrics seems to fit in and no rythm exist even turing it up to the highest volume.

The monster in me woke up! How dare this croaking insect dare disturb my slumber! So, i went down the stairs knocked on their door and I told him to tone down because I am sleeping and I am paying here unlike him….and one more thing his singing hurts my ears and he sounds like a dying bullhorn! then I knocked on my land lady’s door and told her what I did and I got really pissed off because this has happened countless of times, and I’ve already complained twice. She apologized (she’s such a sweet old lady) and talked to her good for nothing,jobless,useless SIL.

Since I can’t get back to sleep I ate 2 of my 5 ripe mangoes,watched the noontime news, read a novel, texted my Mom and my sister and my lover. By 3:30 pm I felt sleepy…at long last! I woke up 5:30 pm, heated my milk ate breakfast, showered,and prepared for work, by 7:10 pm I am on my way to the 5th floor…..another day officially begins for me…..
